Located between White and Reynolds Streets on Atlantic Boulevard in Key West
These two beaches are snuggled next to each other, so people often just see one long beach, or mistake one for the other. It's all the same ocean, right? Technically, Higgs Beach is the one with the playground and Rest Beach is the one dominated by White Street Pier. White Street Pier is apparently a great place to go if you like fishing, as there are always at least a handful of anglers trying their luck. It is also a good place to walk your dog, or to just take a walk yourself.
In addition to the playground, Higgs Beach also offers beachgoers picnic tables. Tennis courts are close by, too, in case while sunning yourself of swimming in the ocean you get a sudden urge to hit the courts. Both beaches are open from sunrise to 11 p.m. and there is no charge for admission.
