Heritage House was basically the cool spot to be in the mid 1900's, and served as literary parlor, getaway for the stars, and resting spot for the wealthy friends of the wealthy anbd well-connected Jessie Porter.
Ms. Porter was well-traveled and highly cultured and attraced all sorts of well-anything people to her home and guest cottage. Robert Frost spent many winters in her cottage from 1945 to 1960, and her guests included famous people like Tennessee Williams and Tallulah Bankhead. Tour the house and cottage, make yourself at home, and learn about high society in Key West in the mid 1900's.
It's open every day, and tours are offered all day, and last up to half an hour. Summer hours might be slightly shortened, and it's closed for the first two weeks in September, so call first during those times if you plan on visiting then.
